The Laguerre Family

The Laguerre family has been in direct opposition of the Maret family for centuries and as such have tailored their politics and warfare to counter everything the Maret family does. In Laguerre, deeds and actions speak for the individual. It doesn't matter where you came from, if you show you can be exemplary, you will rise to great heights.

The Laguerre family was unable (or unwilling) to support the cost of the great mechanical walkers of the Maret family, but still needed a way to counter them on the battlefield. Their answer was armoured vehicles. Cheaper than walkers but able to wield devastating weapons of war, they support these machines with ground forces outfitted with powered armour. Laguerre tanks and powered armour run on a refined fuel source that needs to be mine constantly in order to keep up with the demands of the conflict with Maret.
