Ancient Annie was born to a Night Hag mother and a young human soldier by the name of Dayton Daemon. She was given to Dayton's mother and kept under her care. On the cusp of her thirteenth birthday, Annie's mother returned. She forced the heinous Night Hag procreation ritual upon her and, though the transformation took, much of Annie's mind remained human. She resented her mother and her new form though over time she found it impossible to live in a world that saw her as a monster, and so she allowed the monster to take over. She settled into the role well, and found a small group of nomads wandering around the swamp in the center of Ovenica. She followed them for centuries and, when they finally settled a small area, she too built a house warded from the world, and called it home. She has been living in Basin ever since, leeching off the minor misfortunes of the townspeople, though never doing any proper harm.
