History

In the years following the war, after nearly a decade of tribunals and meetings, it was decided that the Maret family was ultimately at fault for starting the Second Great War when they brought their war machines onto Laguerre land. At the time, Maret maintained that they only did so because Laguerre's presence on their borders was becoming overwhelming and an oversight of the exact border had lead to the initial clash but this sentiment is now largely considered inappropriate to discuss.

The initial clash between the two families was seen as nothing more than another skirmish until two years had gone by with no letting up. Other families began reaching out to try and find a way to end the conflict but one by one each was swayed to a side until lines were drawn and it became a multi-family spanning conflict.
