The animals on the planet are massive, and reminiscent of the dinosaurs of earth. Life is a struggle every single day. Even some of the plant life is large and carnivorous.

Fauna & Flora
The plant-like organisms on this planet are dominated by various types of grass, but they only reach short heights. Flowers and fungi are non-existent on this planet, as the other plants absorb all the shallow nutrients. Trees, bushes and shrubs thrive well, as they can reach the deeper nutrients. They reach incredible heights, especially the trees, who sometimes block out too much light for the lower layers. The species on this planet may not be much more than the first steps to specialized species, this doesn't take anything away from their astonishing beauty and elegance.
While the surface of this planet has a decent variety of basic lifeforms, the water world has little more to offer beyond a large variety of algae. However, they come in so many different shapes and sizes, they may one day be the only type of plant-like organism in this planet's water world. While they don't grow in a large variety of colours, there's still something oddly beautiful about a huge field of grass-like algae or a forest of long, tentacle algae.
The creatures on this planet may not be intelligent or even sentient, they truly are amazing to look at. Many of them seem very light and vulnerable, they could be best described as land-jellyfish, but even then you don't really do them justice. Others are not so vulnerable and can be described similarly to the dinosaurs of earth. These species are all insects, but they look nothing like we're used to on Earth.
